Something new:

After spending four or so weeks on the concrete foundations it was a surprise to complete the framework of three walls during the first week working with wood.  It seemed so fast! At the time I last posted warning you all that Dad was going to write soon, we were just finishing our first week on the framing. It’s two weeks later already, and we’ve made the weight bearing pillars, built the second story, and this week we constructed some of the trusses and put them together on top of the second floor. We were meant to raise and secure them in position today, but due to some unforseen complications we’ll be lucky to get two trusses up.  Because most men have Saturdays free they often come to the church to help out. As there wasn’t enough work for ten of us to do, I opted to come home and write about it instead!

One of the problems with losing the use of our other computer is that most of our photos were still on it. Hopefully we’ll be able to recover them one day, but for the moment here are some photographs from this week:

P.s. Don’t hold your breath for a post by Dad as he’s working a six day week, and we often times don’t get home until five or six pm.
